Australians in Florence

The Australians in Florence do not have a website however it doesn't mean that they are not organised!! Once a month there is a social potluck (bring a plate of food and a bottle of something) dinner hosted at someone's house.

This is an opportunity to met other Australians, catch up on what they are doing in Florence and just to socialise in a relaxed environment.

People who have the possibility to offer their homes for the dinner, do so on a rotating basis in such a way that no one should host the dinner more than once a year.

If you would like more information about the Australians in Florence Group please contact Nanette Davis at nanettedavis@bestel.it

The Florentine Newspaper

The Florentine's goal is to be a newspaper that provides up to date news and information to the English speaking community and thus a way for them to actively participate in and "connect" with Florentine and Tuscan life and culture. As well as local and regional news and events, the paper also offers articles and commentaries on daily living: from "understanding Italian politics", to "how to go to a soccer game", to "how, where and when to park a car".

The Florentine is distributed throughout the City of Florence. It is available to every family attending the International School, and can be found in bookstores, American universities in Florence, internet cafes, health clubs, all major hotels in the central area, and other key reference points for the English speaking community.
